1. What the Pass Guarantee covers
If you meet the study requirements below and do not pass your first MBE exam sitting within 24 months of purchase, you may choose one of two remedies:
Full refund of your BarPrepHero tuition (minus any NCBE licensing fees).
One free repeat of the same BarPrepHero course for the very next bar-exam administration.
After either remedy is issued, the guarantee is considered fulfilled.
2. Lifetime access vs. guarantee window
Lifetime access: Pay once and keep the full course forever, including future updates.
Guarantee window: Our money-back / free-repeat promise applies only to your first MBE exam sitting that occurs within 24 months of purchase.
3. Who is eligible. Requirement Details
Exam timing: You sit for your first MBE exam within 24 months of the date you bought Premium.
Study effort: You complete at least 80% of all assigned practice sets in the 180 days leading up to exam day. (Progress is tracked automatically in your dashboard.)
Official results: You take the exam and receive an official score notice.
Account standing: Your BarPrepHero account is in good standing and registered under your legal name.
Tip: You do not need to be a first-time bar taker to qualify, but you must meet every requirement above.
4. How to claim if you don’t pass
Gather your documents – Save a PDF or clear photo of your official score notice (it must show your full name, jurisdiction, and results).
Email us within 30 days of the results release to info@barprephero.com. Use the subject line Pass Guarantee Claim and include:
Your full name and BarPrepHero login email
Exam jurisdiction and date
The score notice attachment
Choose your remedy - In the same email, tell us whether you’d like a refund or a free repeat for the next exam.
We’ll confirm receipt within two business days and process the refund or set up your repeat access within seven business days after verification.
5. What the guarantee does not cover
NCBE licensing fees
Any bar exam taken after the 24-month window
Additional bar-exam administrations beyond the one free repeat
Claims submitted more than 30 days after the results release
Accounts found to be in violation of our Terms of Service (e.g., sharing logins)

Q: Do I lose access after 24 months?
A: No. You keep lifetime access to the course. Only the Pass Guarantee promise expires.
Q: What counts toward the 80% threshold?
A: All graded quizzes, drills, and simulated exams listed in your study plan. Flashcards modes are optional and do not count toward the percentage.
Q: How do I see my completion percentage?
A: Your dashboard progress bar updates in real time.
Q: I bought Premium 18 months ago but my jurisdiction postponed the exam. Am I still covered?
A: Yes – as long as your first sitting occurs within 24 months of purchase and you meet the study-effort requirement.
Q: What if I fail the second time after using my free repeat?
A: The Pass Guarantee is a one-time benefit. You will still have lifetime course access, but additional refunds or repeats are not offered.
Q: Can I transfer the guarantee to another jurisdiction?
A: The guarantee applies to the jurisdiction and exam administration you first registered for. If you switch jurisdictions, eligibility resets only if that new exam date still falls within the original 24-month window.
