1. About Test Prep Insight
Test Prep Insight is a U.S.-based team of attorneys, CPAs, teachers, and instructional-design pros who purchase, complete, and rank study programs for high-stakes exams (bar, CPA, MCAT, etc.). Their reviews mix hands-on testing, instructor interviews, and price-to-value scoring, making them a well-regarded third-party source in legal-ed circles.

2023: “Best Bar Review Course” in TPI’s annual Best Bar Prep Courses list.

3. Why the category wording changed after 2023
Starting with its 2024/25 guides, TPI split the single “Best Bar Review Course” honor into multiple niches (Best Overall, Best Value, Best Supplemental, etc.).
BarPrepHero now carries the “Best Supplemental Bar Course” badge, while still appearing in the top section of the list.
4. Frequently asked questions
Was the award paid for?
No. TPI discloses that it buys and tests every course itself. While they earn affiliate commissions on some recommendations (including ours), their ranking methodology is published, and the “Best” title can’t be purchased.
Can I use the ribbon images in my own firm’s materials?
Feel free to mention the awards in text, but please don’t download or re-host the graphic badges - they remain TPI’s intellectual property.
Does TPI release a 2025 award?
Their latest guide (updated May 2025) lists Bar Prep Hero as the “Best Supplemental Bar Course.” Category name changed, but we’re still on top for practice-heavy prep.
